Junior Dance Club
Our Junior Dance Club serves as a child focused, play based entry to dance classes for children 3 to 8 years.
Children are taught in age appropriate ways where the foundations of correct technique are laid through gamification, repetition and teaching to the whole child. We wholeheartedly celebrate childhood and focus on the present rather than fast forwarding the future. We value the opportunity to let kids be little and we design our experiences to mirror the maturity of the students. Our students thrive in a casual and relaxed performance setting, designed to bring out the best in the children, while also respecting their development needs.
DANCE STYLES
Dance Magic
Dance Magic has built a fantastic reputation for providing children ages 3 to 5 with the opportunity to express themselves within a fun, safe and caring environment. Within this structure the basic grounding of ballet and dance technique is introduced. To share the love, magic and wonder of dance, scarves, tiaras, wands and musical instruments are used and children are encouraged to use their imagination and expand their creativity.

Ballet
For students from 5 years, Classical Ballet is a wonderful foundation for all dance styles. Many believe ballet to only be ‘slow’, however it also includes exciting jumps and leaps. While exercises are often repeated each week, students will also retain an element of self expressive freedom through the inclusion of creative exercises. Classes also include the study of dance history, famous ballets, ballet terminology and body awareness – all which are taught in an age appropriate manner.

Performance
Many families join the Junior Dance Club entirely for our age appropriate performances. Held locally, our dancers simply thrive in the casual and relaxed performance setting, designed especially to bring out the best in the children, while also respecting their development needs. Our song choices, choreography and themes truly reflect how much we value ‘Be Here now’. We believe that a positive performance experience has so much value. It instils confidence, sparks joy and nurtures crucial presentation skills, right from the early years. Additionally, dancers feel a sense of pride and accomplishment. It truly is a wonderful day for all involved.
